St. Patrick's Grammar School, Downpatrick - a brief overview.

Founded by the De La Salle Brothers in 1934 St. Patrick's Grammar School in the town of Downpatrick has almost 800 pupils. It is a catholic grammar school and the school is very well thought of in the local community with excellent results academically. The school also has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including sport, music and drama.
Attracting pupils from all over east Down the pupils are now accommodated in a modern state-of-the-art building which opened in 2011. The school has a year 8 approved enrolment of around 100 pupils and these places are much sought after with demand outstripping supply.
St. Patrick's Grammar School, Downpatrick uses he new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
