The Post-Primary Transfer Consortium Ltd is the body that has been formed to administer the GL Transfer Test. They represent a group of 34 PPTC grammar schools that all use
the same Entrance Assessment as part of their selection criteria for primary school pupils (year 7) moving from primary school to first form (year 8.) The Entrance Assessment, commonly known as the GL Transfer Test, is held in PPTC grammar schools in November each year. Registration for children to sit the test must be completed months in advance. This site contains registration packs, information regarding “Special Circumstances” and other important details regarding the GL Transfer Test. If you would like your son or daughter to attend a PPTC grammar school then they must sit the GL Transfer Test.

The Association for Quality Education (AQE Ltd) is the company that has been formed to administer the AQE Transfer Test which is also known as the Common Entrance
Assessment (CEA). This test is used to select pupils transferring from primary school to a number of post primary grammar schools in Northern Ireland. This site contains everything that you might need to know about the AQE Transfer Test.
