Bloomfield Collegiate a brief overview.

Bloomfield Collegiate was founded in 1905. It was one of a number of private school foundations that started in that era. Initially it accepted both boys and girls and it discontinued co-education in 1915, it also had a boarding department in its early days. The school was originally owned by the headmistress as a business. Today the school has in the region of 800 pupils and places in year 8 are always in high demand.

Bloomfield Collegiate uses the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
