Limavady Grammar School - a brief overview.

While the history can be traced back to the 19th Century the present Limavady Grammar School was founded in 1957. The school takes both boys and girls and is an 11-18 selective grammar school in the town of Limavady. It currently has around 900 pupils who come from a variety of communities in the surrounding area. Over the years the school has won a number of awards including an International Schools Award in 2008. Limavady Grammar School consistently ranks highly among Northern Ireland schools with regard to A-Level results. The school provides a wide and balanced curriculum.


Limavady Grammar School uses the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
