Wellington College Belfast

Wellington College Belfast - a brief overview.

Wellington College came into being inn 1989 when Annadale Grammar School (boys) and Carolan Grammar School (girls) merged to become a single co-educational school. The school covers a large site at Carolan Road in south Belfast and the school moved there in 2002.

The school is very popular and always heavily oversubscribed – often with two or more pupils applying for each available place in year 8. The school has grown over recent years and now has almost 800 pupils from year 8 to year 14.

Wellington College transfer procedure includes the use of the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
