Belfast Royal Academy

Belfast Royal Academy (BRA) School - AQE intake scores and brief over.

Founded in 1785 Belfast Royal Academy (BRA) is regarded as the oldest school in Belfast. For over a century the school was called Belfast Academy and in 1888 Queen Victoria granted permission for the school to call itself the Belfast Royal Academy.  BRA is a co-educational, non-denominational voluntary grammar school situated in north Belfast. Originally built near St Anne's Parish Church (now St Anne’s Cathedral) in what is now Academy Street, it moved to its current location on the Cliftonville Road in 1880.

Belfast Royal Academy uses the results from the AQE Transfer Test as part of its intake and selection procedure for year 8.
